Dunston
A walk along the River Tyne.
Today is my last leave day – tomorrow and Monday I have work planned and meetings – so I was determined to get out and do some walking.
My plan was to walk out of the harbour, up onto the cliffs and onto the lookout.
But the weather had other ideas.
I am not going to talk about the weather.
However this was a great place to park up, with a flask of coffee and a Cornish pasty, to do some work and take some meetings. This included a meeting with a colleague in Canada.
This beach’s claim to fame is that it is closed from time to time so the Army and the RAF can practice landing Hercules transport aircraft on the sand.
