Fiskerton Fen
I had to be out early this morning as Octagon are swapping out, and replacing a server this weekend. This part of the project only took a couple of hours, as I had the MX-5, I took a detour on the way home.

Back to work tomorrow – today I set out to go geocaching in the local area, to include getting fuel in Galashiels and lunch in Stow at a cafe recommended to me by one of the campers.
This cache was in a lay-by near the campsite
Gullet Wood
Stow
It was strange geocaching in Stow as the caches were part of a treasure hunt and history trail around the village. Instead of having to be careful about searching and looking suspicious, it seemed like everyone knew what I was doing.
Excellent history trail – I would recommend it.
I’d recommend the Cloudhouse cafe in Stow as well, free fast wifi and good tea. Also the wifi let me catch up with things at the office and speak to client on Skype.
I found this place because there was a geocache here – well actually it is not here now, but the descriptions of the place were so good that I decided to visit anyway.
I took water from this stream to try out my new Sawyer water filter – I am writing this post about four hours later and no bad effects from the water yet! More on this filter and its use in a later post – things did not go so well.

I went into Edinburgh today to meet up with Jeremy, geocaching then took us to a part of the city we had not visited before.
