I had a two part article published today on Octagon Technology and Smart Thinking Solutions about upcycling old technology and the cyber security implications of doing so:

I needed a photo of the machine we installed Linux Mint on – this is it. There was not much I could do about the mirrored screen, except include these flowers in it rather than a view of the office.
I have had an intermittent “A” key on my keyboard for a few days – so a Dell technician came round today to replace it.
It gave me a chance to clean the dust and fluff out.
This is the last image taken on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It is it’s replacement iPhone 14 Pro Max.
I have also bought a transparent Mous case and screen protectors for this iPhone 14 Pro Max – as they did a great job of protecting the 12. Transparent to I can see the phone is deep purple.
I am looking forward to seeing what I can do with this latest camera from Apple. As a bonus it includes a smartphone!
The old phone is being up cycled to Jeremy, including the Mous case and screen protector.
Apple is not as environmentally friendly as they claim, they are happy to brick and build in enforced obsolescence.
