Some short stretches of the path were flooded out, it needed some bushwhacking to get past and walk the complete loop. I started off early at a frozen Pine Lake.
Then a stop at Annandale Water Services.
Then on to Ayr to visit a university friend. Where we went for a walk along the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
The Blackthorn Salt Company was featured on an episode of the Hairy Bikers – this is their railway carriage office and evaporator near the Port of Ayr.
We also passed famous Prestwick Golf Club – where the first Open Championship was played.
The day finished in Aviemore with pizza.
