Rand Farm Park
I was out at Rand Farm Park carrying out a review of their backups.
There is not much opportunity today (or tomorrow) for photographs as I have a short deadline project outline to complete for an Octagon Technology client over this weekend.
The day has started as forecasted with wind and rain (see and hear it here), so I made my tea in the porch of my tent. Once that was done it was a telephone call with Martin to catch up on the Octagon work I need to do this week.

Sometimes we just have a really busy Monday at Octagon and today was one if those Mondays. Equipment that had been unused in offices all over the weekend, that was working fine on Friday, just refused to work on Monday. We had got four non-workers sorted by 1pm, supported the server change over in Horncastle and dealt with three other minor issues. It did mean an early start – I was on the phone before 7am, a late lunch and I drove to Lincoln, out to Sleaford and onto Holbeach.
At the end of the day all the clients were happy and back in business.
The photo is a close up of a packing crate that had crushed a network cable – that’s why it was not working!
Having spent the day setting up a server and network indoors, I was looking to the cats to give me my photo of the day but none of them would stay still long enough!
By lunch time there had only only been one small, easily solved issue with the new server so I went out for lunch in the sun. A takeaway sausage in a bap with tea, then a drive round the corner to the Horncastle Community Wood.
