Sunset from Lincoln station foot bridge

This was the view as I was walking home from fixing an internet issue and sorting a problem with some digital dictation software.

This view point will not be here for much longer as I think the railway foot bridge is going as part of the redevelopment in the area.

Here is another shot from today – which will be used on the Octagon Technology web site later this week.

It was a job for Les from Ideas In2Action, to securely connect one of his CCTV systems to the internet.

This now gives their client secure access to monitor the cameras from a smartphone or tablet.

Business Club Lincolnshire The view from the Geek's Panel @busclublincs @OctagonT @developpromote @FlyfordConnect @epixmedia @in2pcsLincoln @datcom_it

It was a great night last night at Business Club, I was sitting on the “Geeks Panel” of tech experts. There were a variety of interesting questions from the members for the panel to get to grips with. However we will never agree on an anti-virus program we all like!

Thanks to Mike for asking us to to be the experts and to Zoe, Andy, Terry, Phil and Darren for making it fun.

Business Meeting and “photo of the day” @OctagonT @TheBNLincoln

I had a very productive meeting this morning with Stuart and Francesca from the Business Network Lincoln at Forest Pines. I am looking forward to next week’s lunch time meeting – see the details here.

Black and white image of a wooden gazebo

When I came out it had stopped raining but it was still grey and overcast but I did find this gazebo in the gardens for my photo of the day.

A couple of hours walking along the Witham

I had to drop Diana off in the city at 7am this morning, so it was a good opportunity, on the way home, to park in Washingborough and walk along the Witham. The light was low in the sky and bright so it gave some good late summer shots.

I’d packed my breakfast and cook set, so I had my tea cakes with homemade raspberry jam and tea, sitting on one of the benches on the river bank, looking out on the river. A very quiet and calm way to start a Sunday.

Why does tea always taste better when you drink it outside?

Shadows are always a problem when shooting landscapes with a strong, low sun.

Unfortunately I could not make a day of it, as I had to get back to my office. We have a big job on tomorrow in Grimsby and I need to make sure everything is organised and ready for Martin to head up there first thing.
