It has to be the most dominant feature in Lincoln – the Cathedral.
I am off to the Lancashire coast and the Lake District tomorrow so no more photos of the Cathedral for a couple of weeks.

Today’s photo is one taken whilst I was at work. A client’s public wifi network failed and of course it was one of the “out of sight” units that had failed!
Not every photo is going to be a landscape some will be work photos – but hopefully they will not be as dusty or “fibre glassy” as this one.
The sun managed to force its way through the clouds.
Pro HDR is probably my favourite for landscape photographs – I can get shots on my iPhone, straight into the sun, that would have been impossible when I was using film.
I went for a short walk west of Branston this afternoon.
The weather took a turn for the worst – cold and windy. I found a convenient log to sit on, to boil some water for soup.
It was a struggle to get the stove to light in the wind and even with the wind shield it took over 30mls of meths to heat the water – which did not quite reach boiling! I will have to take this into account when packing fuel for my back packing trips – I might not be allowing enough fuel on my packing list.

This Vulcan stands at the edge of RAF Waddington near the A15.
I managed to get this shot, in good light, just before the rain started again.

I had a short walk out east of Newark on Bank Holiday Tuesday – the light was just right as I passed through Stapleford Woods.
The above image was taken with Camera+, but the original was very dark in the foreground. I then used the Camera+ “Clarify” function to lighten the foreground without losing the sun burst.
