Because I live just under five miles away from McDonald’s they will not deliver to me. I am sure they have a well thought out corporate answer as to why five miles is too far and will invite me to travel to them to give them my money!
Well the money I have saved over the pandemic has gone into an ISA – thanks McDonald’s.

Alyssa and I cooked our lunch outside on the camp stove – bacon sandwiches – one with peanut butter the other with tomato ketchup – I had tea and she had chocolate milkshake.
Headed out for a walk today. it rained a bit but not so much to stop a lunch stop.
Pork breakfast burger, sliced tomatoes, fried mushrooms under the melted cheese – toasted bun with salad cream.

The stove is a “Bushcraft Essentials” twig burning wood stove with an insert for alcohol gel fuel – the insert was the bottom of a small tin of Burt’s Bees lip balm. It is not the most efficient stove but a good stand-by stove to carry with my brew kit. One measure of fuel – about 20ml – is enough to heat about 300ml of water to coffee or stock cube soup temperature. I use an up-cycled hand sanitiser bottle (60ml) to carry the fuel.
