The first stop once there was the cafe – tea and an excellent sausage sandwich – served at an outside table as the weather was so good.

This flock of peacocks followed me after I had picked up the freshly baked croissants.

This is the last of both the hanging basket tomatoes and the rogue tomatoes – the plants are now in the compost. And two small bits of home grown rhubarb.

Diana and I cooked some green tomato and fruit chutney.


We added two of our home grown, very hot, chillies so this mix is spicy!

Our late flowering surprise tomato plant has given us 5 decent sized tomatoes and a very small one.
