The first stop once there was the cafe – tea and an excellent sausage sandwich – served at an outside table as the weather was so good.

The last of the tomatoes and green tomato and fruit chutney
This is the last of both the hanging basket tomatoes and the rogue tomatoes – the plants are now in the compost. And two small bits of home grown rhubarb.
Diana and I cooked some green tomato and fruit chutney.
We added two of our home grown, very hot, chillies so this mix is spicy!

The surprise tomato plant
Our late flowering surprise tomato plant has given us 5 decent sized tomatoes and a very small one.
All of them, plus the remainder of the tomatoes from the hanging basket on the shed, are all destined for green tomatoes chutney this weekend!
