Less sun and blue sky than I expected! Which meant I found a comfortable spot to wait for the sea fog to burn off, brew some tea, read my book, have lunch, more tea etc. the sea fog did not burn off.

Sea fog in Whitley Bay and Tynemouth
It was sunny when we left Gateshead but when we got to Whitley Bay, it was still warm but a sea fog had enveloped the coast.
