We had an early start for the Lake District this morning, planning to have breakfast in Lancaster. A check on the Met Office site said the weekend will be showery – but good news by the time we got to Hartshead Moor Services there was blue sky and sunshine.

I have spent the day in Essex at Octagon’s longest standing client, Chris Regan Accountants in Chelmsford. These flowers are outside his office – and the shot was made in the pouring rain.
It has been a busy day – including networking in Grantham at The Business Club, this evening. So today’s photograph has come from our garden.
I spent the day at a business seminar near Coventry. It was held a Ansty Hall Hotel which had a walled garden, that made a good place to look for a photo of the day. But I had to be quick in the ten spare minutes I had at lunchtime.
I have some work to do for Octagon this afternoon so I am setting off for home early. But there was just enough time for a short walk.
