The National Forest Way

Today I turned left onto The National Forest Way.

The path this way was quite overgrown in places with brambles and stinging nettles, and when it came to crossing some of the fields, the path was just visible. You also have to walk past a sign saying the way is a private gated road – no access – I ignored that.

However there was a viewing platform – a small view as I am sure the trees have grown since it was installed, but a good spot for a coffee.

Writing today

I have written articles for both Cyberawake and Octagon today – but outside on the balcony in the good weather.

Wychnor Park Country Club - working on the balcony

Of course the writing was helped by coffee – today iced coffee made in a Turkish style with ginger and little dark brown sugar.

National Forest Way to the River Trent

The National Forest Way passes by Wychnor Park Country Club – so before it got too hot this morning I walked out to the River Trent along the path.

Along the way, I found a suitable spot for to brew a coffee, out in the countryside but definitely in the shade – my bush hat can only keep so much sun off me.

Morning coffee

Vietnamese style coffee - using a Phin

It is time for coffee.

Here are some of the blog posts I have written this week for Octagon Technology and Smart Thinking Solutions.

Smart Thinking has a weekend read project – the stories behind cyber security, privacy and technology that you do not have time to read during the week, but you can catch up with at the weekend, when you stop for coffee or beverage if your choice! Here is today’s post – a video rather than an article:

At Octagon, as we go through the year I write several “Geek present lists” – Father’s Day is next week so here is 2022’s Geek Father’s Day present suggestions:
