Headed out for a walk today. it rained a bit but not so much to stop a lunch stop.
Coffee and croissants in the sun.
The stove is a “Bushcraft Essentials” twig burning wood stove with an insert for alcohol gel fuel – the insert was the bottom of a small tin of Burt’s Bees lip balm. It is not the most efficient stove but a good stand-by stove to carry with my brew kit. One measure of fuel – about 20ml – is enough to heat about 300ml of water to coffee or stock cube soup temperature. I use an up-cycled hand sanitiser bottle (60ml) to carry the fuel.

I had an alert for the car battery today so I took the car for a drive. I packed lunch and had a walk as well.
Another morning walk over towards Potterhanworth – with Chai tea and croissants for breakfast.
As it was bright (but cold) this morning I put my breakfast in a pack and went for a walk across the fields.
Breakfast was coffee and croissant.
