I ordered a book for Diana for Valentine’s Day – this is how the package was delivered – and by delivered I mean left on the doorstep although the driver completed his side of the app by saying it went through the letterbox!
The package damage had also damaged the spine of the book – I did not even bother to open it. All credit to the vendor on reporting this they immediately dispatched another book to me – whilst I am sending the damaged one back to them this afternoon.
Here is the replacement book – it came just a few minutes ago and I have not unwrapped it yet. This time the driver waited for me to unlock the door and the delivery was handed to me.
The damage this time had not reached the book.
Now back to my original question but let’s add a few more:
- Does Amazon have mice?
- Is it a regular occurrence that the packaging for large, relatively heavy books get damaged when being dispatched.?
- Did I get a careless delivery driver? Two of them?
- Does this package resemble something of much greater value that is regularly shipped?
No accusations here just raising some questions about two similar packages, damaged in similar ways.
The one good thing here is Diana will have an undamaged gift on February 14th.
