Rather than walk along the road I chose the “cut the corner” and use a footpath between Warton and Millhead – to find that the path was flooded.
Luckily for me the field was frozen so I was able to walk on the water – the ice creaked and cracked a little but I did not go through. However don’t use this path once the temperature goes up – and when I walk back tonight I will use the road!
Walked through Carnforth and out to the Lancaster Canal Tow Path. The canal of course was frozen.
